Litton and AW Group have submitted an application for two commercial employment units adjoining the Greenfields local centre in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire.
The scheme will provide a number of ‘hybrid’ high quality, flexible employment units with mezzanine floors and is targeted at high quality local businesses. Litton & AW Group believe there is a structural shortage of this type of accommodation within the local market. The scheme is aiming to be highly energy efficient and as close to zero carbon as possible and will include 5 car charging points.
The 3.5 acre site is presently an undeveloped vacant commercial plot left following the successful development of 2500 new homes at Southern Leighton Buzzard Urban Extension. The Southern Leighton Buzzard Urban Extension was led, master planned and promoted by AW Group on behalf of landowners including AW Group and The Church Commissioners.
Litton and AW Group have formed a new JV take the project through to construction and the plan is to then retain the project with Litton providing development and property management expertise.
